NEET UG 2025: Relaxed Cut-Off for PwBD Candidates & Total Qualified Numbers

This year NEET UG 2025 results witness the continued endeavor to be inclusive towards the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) through providing relaxation in the qualifying marks in different categories of reservation. Such easing is a positive step towards achieving the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP), which provides equity and opportunities in higher education.

Below is the table showing NEET 2025 qualifying cut-offs of PwBD candidates:

  • UR/EWS-PwBD: 45th percentile (Score: 143-127) Total qualified: 472
  • OBC-PwBD: 40th percentile (Score range 126-113); Overall qualified: 216
  • SC-PwBD: 40th percentile is mandatory(Score range:126-113);Total qualified: 48
  • ST-PwBD: The necessary 40th percentile (Score bracket: 126-113); Overall Qualified: 17

However, in spite of such measures, a mere 753 PwBD aspirants achieved the total cut-offs in both categories combined, leading to discussions on the need to reinforce support mechanisms, such as more effective special accommodation in exams, accessibility information, and outreach to PwBD candidates.
