NEET UG Counselling Process 2025

NEET UG 2025 derives admission through counselling which includes opportunities for All India Quota seats together with selections into Central and State institutions. The NEET UG 2025 counselling information is exclusively hosted on the MCC official website which can be accessed at www.mcc.nic.in. Threshold candidates must completely study the admission guidelines along with procedures so that they can achieve successful enrollment.

The NEET UG 2025 AIQ counselling will feature two rounds and Deemed and Central Universities will organize three rounds including Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round. The counseling process for State Quota medical institutions together with Private Medical Colleges takes place separately.

For admission to State Government Medical Colleges as well as Universities and Private Institutions which exclude Deemed Universities candidates must attend counselling exams organized by state authorities. The NEET UG 2025 merit list acts as the foundation for admissions and all candidates must follow directions from State Governments and Institutions and Universities conducting the counselling procedure.

The state governments will supervise counselling activities for all private medical colleges that do not belong to Deemed Universities. The states will compile merit lists according to what candidate-selected categories appear during registration. The state counselling authorities act as the lead coordinators for handling 85 percent of state quota seats through their established governing rules and standards.

After the NEET UG 2025 application period ends the National Testing Agency (NTA) will refrain from changing any candidate information. All candidates will receive their seat allotment through the Central Category List until state quota admissions utilize the State Category List. The determination of domicile requirements depends on state-specific regulations while NTA exercises no authority in this matter.

Candidates participating in counselling need to verify their eligibility status and present documents required for NEET Counselling based on the guidelines provided by medical/dental institutions together with concerned authorities.

All medical institutions in India except AIIMS and JIPMER will use NEET UG 2025 score results during student admissions. MCC will supervise the counseling procedure for 15% government medical college seats but state authorities will conduct counseling for the other 85%. All seat counselling for Central and Deemed Universities falls under MCC management while the respective state authorities have authority over private and self-financed institutions.
